Attendance/Tuition Payments:

  • Attendance: Please be on time - not too early or too late!!! Each student MUST sign in a log for attendance. If you are going to be absent, I expect an email or written note (verbally not acceptable) at least 24 hours in advanced to possibly credit a lesson (not guaranteed). If you miss a lesson, and you are unable to inform me on time you still need to make the payment of that lesson. You have 2 make-up lessons per semester. Examples for excused absences are a sustained illness that requires treatment for more than three days, death in the family, and an official school or church activity.

  • Payment: Your monthly tuition is due by the first class of each month. A late fee of $6.00 will be assessed for payments received one week late.

  • Missed Lessons: Due to the tight schedule it is hard to reschedule a lesson and you are still responsible for payment of that lesson.

  • Missed lessons are forfeited. The Tuition is not refundable.

  • NO LATE CANCELLATIONS PLEASE!!! Unless is a genuine emergency like accidents or sudden sickness with a doctors note and evidence.

  • A full refund will be issued to students if their lessons are canceled by the academy.

  • Withdraw: Please provide a written note directly to Mrs. Davison AT LEAST 2 weeks before withdrawing.

    Audition/Interview:

Each student has a different level and the audition serves as a measurement to select the proper level.

    –Lesson Procedure

Each lesson consists of 30 or 60 minutes session that includes technique, music theory, history, ear training, sight reading, and performance skills. Each student must be on time and have privacy and quietness during their session. Gum, food, candy, soda, and water must be consumed outside.

    Recitals and Performances:

Each student is expected to perform each semester. We have performances in schools, malls, parks, hotels, nursing homes, and churches.

    Recital Attire:

    Basic recital attire:

  • Boys, dark pants with oxford shirt, black socks, black shoes, tie preferable.
  • Girls, a nice beautiful blouse with a skirt, or elegant dresses, any color.
  • WE ALWAYS ANNOUNCE OUR CASUAL LOOK ATTIRES PRIOR TO THE RECITAL.

    Outstanding Musician Award:

Students will be receiving plaques, trophies, and awards as a result of showing many qualities throughout the year by participating in all the activities and different events such as concerts, festivals, competitions, chamber ensembles, and demonstrating independence and above average performance. The awards ceremony will take place at the end of the year.
